The price of airfare, hotels, package deals, etc. are usually determined by season
In Europe and the U.S., summer is high-season and therefore most expensive (June 15 - August 31). Winter is low-season and therefore least expensive (generally Dec. 15th - January 6th). The shoulder seasons that fall in the middle are fall and spring (November - March). Exceptions include beaches and ski resorts.
